A fanlisting (FL) is a non-profit, non-commercial online listing of all fans of a certain subject, mostly for entertainment purposes. In this case, this site is an FL for the song Sway by Bic Runga.

Why bother with a fanlisting? Why bother with this particular fanlisting? I have a special attachment to the song "Sway." It's one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar when I was struggling to learn it without formal training. The message is endearing, too. It speaks of all the promises of a budding romance that one can't afford to lose, but one is not exactly brazen enough to tell the object of one's affection that one doesn't want him or her to go.

Lastly, the line "I fall into an ocean of you / Pull me out in time, don't let me drown" are just about the most heartwarming lyrics I've heard in a long time, as it sings of heady love and overwhelming devotion to one, and just one, person. :) It's a way of being romantic without being extremely mushy, I think. *nods*
